October 20, 2008 · 2 Comments
when you feel like youre on your way to accomplishing things.
I was reading an old blog from about 2 years ago, fresh out of high school, 18 & clueless about what the world had in store for me. Heres what i was thinking almost exactly 2 years ago.
“so..
June 29, 2006
im supposed to be in reno. with joseph janet and her (now) husband and the lil cousins. but nope my dad is douche face and wont let me go. Now what if I was going away to college.. would you still make me stay at home not do anything.
you know how you got that idea of life if it was perfect.. i got mine in my head right now.
- i would be 27 prime of my life good pay check working at a design firm. I’d be an Art Director for a magazine company, designing the layouts and art work. man i want to be the one going to the galas. im earning bank while doing what I love, which means id never have to work a day in my life. id live in the city i would have my boyfriend of 10 years, maybe at this point we would be life partners. Not married but just together. marriage is something that tends over exagerrate the meaning of compansionship, when in reality it is so simple. I would live on a flat in a high rise building. If i made alot I would love to send as much as I can to support my family in the Philippines. By that time I would like to have studied in Europe, gone to spain and portugal the netherlands, germany and vienna. I want to have my white VW GTI and my red and white MINI. I also want a moped. i love vespas. man. i want to go down town and get coffee talk about the good things in life be independent. prove to the world ive done it. i would go to the cafe with my book on philosophy and read, on the way home i would buy a bouquet for the center of my dinner table. i would be wearing jeans a tshirt a sweatshirt with a jacket and my scarf and beanie with chucks. i would have short hair.
while writing that i noticed a few things about myself.
- i love the city.
- i prefer cold crisp (fall) weather.
- i love literature and coffee.
- i prefer the touch of paper compared to staring at a computer screen or listening to a book on an ipod.
- im easy going. i like to dress comfy but clean cut.
- EURO cars + me = “

happy birthday Victoria!
October 15, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Today is my flatmate, Victoria’s birthday, she has reached the lovely age of 19 finally! I hope we made it as memorable as possible. Jane (our other flat-mate) taught me how to make napoleons (sp), which is a favorite type of dessert/cookie from Mauritius. It was absolutely delectable! We had a lovely tea party.. filled with Rasberry Trifles, Napoleons, Blackberries and Tea! We also planned out our quick trip before we leave for christmas vacation.. we settled on visiting Switzerland for around 3 days.. oohh what a wonder winter it will be! i can feel it!

about a 3 minute stroll down from my flat there is a park. i absolutely love this place, i actually cut through here everyday, twice a day, to get to my tube station. a couple days ago i just couldn’t take it anymore and i went on the swings.. it was just too nice a day to pass up. honestly i got some stares, considering the way i was dressed.. people were probably thinking what is this 20 year old in heels doing playing in a playground?! But my inner child had the best of me :]
{ yes, thats Janelle in heels & tights.. you would’ve never guessed huh? }

London Transport Museum
October 12, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Last Friday, us Graphic Design 1st Years got the opportunity to go to the London Transport Museum. This place has been closed for a couple years due to a full on renovation, I honestly have no idea how it used to look, but it definitely has a wonderful design aesthetic. I really enjoyed the idea of how London is so environment and future conscious. Because with the ever expanding growth and pollution of this huge city, they could be in trouble further down the road. If you’re ever in the Covent Garden area be sure to check this place out.
{light installation}
{oh how keen i am.. and oh how i finally feel like i fit in.}

{ oh the mod look }
